Call me Yang. I’m a graduate student that grew up in, and still resides in, New York City. My areas of interest include historical and contemporary religious practice in America and what I call the 3 M’s: metaphysics, morality, and mimesis. I'm also especially interested in political theology and the supposed distinction between “sacred” and “secular” realms, as well as the question of whether or not “secularity” can truly exist in both the postmodern and post-postmodern/metamodern contexts. After I finish my graduate studies, I plan on being (or becoming?) a philosophy professor, as well as a public intellectual.
In my spare time, I can usually be found reading philosophy, theology, political theory, or literary fiction while I procrastinate on the several projects I'm simultaneously working on.
I am open to requests for book reviews, guest essays, and podcast appearances.
